Redemption City, Ogun State, October 7, 2023 – The Employment Bureau of the National Young Adults and Youth Affairs of the Redeemed Christian Church of God recently hosted a remarkable Career Fair from the 3rd to the 5th of October 2023, as part of this year’s International Youth Convention of RCCG. Thousands of enthusiastic youths from around the globe gathered at Redemption City, Ogun State, to partake in this extraordinary event, which was designed to promote Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth.

The convention drew an impressive turnout, with over 4,000 attendees registering for the Career Fair, showcasing the youth’s eagerness to explore employment opportunities and develop their careers.

Distinguished HR professionals representing various renowned organizations in Nigeria attended the Career Fair, offering eager job seekers invaluable one-on-one CV review and career counseling sessions. The fair not only provided a platform for job seekers to enhance their employability but also fostered connections between future talents and potential employers.

The esteemed Intercontinental Youth Pastor of RCCG, Pastor Belemina Obunge, and the National Youth Pastor of RCCG, Nigeria, Pastor Sola Owoeye, both instrumental in the establishment of the Employment Bureau, personally supervised the event to ensure its resounding success.

A highlight of the event was a motivational talk delivered by the branch chairman of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Ogun State Branch, Engr. Sean Olabode Badiru. In his address on “Maximizing Employability,” he shared valuable insights and strategies for job seekers to excel in the competitive job market. An elected Governing Council member of CIPM, Mr. Adeyemi Ajayi, also addressed participants, elucidating recruiters’ expectations from potential candidates.

The Career Fair was not just a platform for learning and networking; it also yielded tangible results for many attendees. Several youths walked away with immediate employment offers, demonstrating the event’s practical impact on the lives and futures of the participants.
